Pag-uwi

Pag-uwi is my realist landscape painting of a quiet walk home in the Philippine countryside. A woman travels a dirt road with a basket of produce on one arm and a tray balanced on her head, returning from the harvest. Beyond her, a carabao grazes in the shade of a wide tree, a farmer works the slope, and a nipa hut waits at the end of the road under a soft, cloudy sky. I painted it in a detailed realist style, with layered greens and warm earth tones that give the scene a calm, unhurried mood. The painting suits collectors of Philippine art, rural Filipino life, and landscape painting. It would sit well in a living room, dining area, or den, or alongside other works on provincial and heritage themes. Pag-uwi is acrylic on canvas, 30 inches by 24 inches, completed in 2023. It is signed by me and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. It is offered framed and ready to hang at PHP 35,000.
