Landscapes
A good landscape makes a room feel larger than its walls. In this collection, we bring together views of mountains, valleys, fields, and open skies, painted by Filipino artists who know how the light falls across the land.

A landscape gives a room a view it doesn't have. This collection holds 20 original landscape paintings by Filipino artists: light coming through a forest, a cottage in a meadow at dusk, trees at the water's edge, and places with a story behind them, such as the Cagsawa Ruins.
The painters work in different ways. Limboy Picardal of Rodriguez, Rizal paints in oil with a palette knife, building the paint up thick so the leaves and light catch the eye from across the room. Victor Kim Naquila of Calape, Bohol uses colour that reads best from a distance. Eula Lu of Baguio City works small, in watercolour, and Jhon Paul Alivio of Zamboanga del Sur paints in acrylic.
Sizes run from a 7 by 10 inch watercolour that fits a desk or a narrow wall to 24 by 36 inch canvases that can hold a living room. 20 are available now, from ₱1,500. Each painting is a one-of-one original, sold directly by the artist, and the shipping fee is added at checkout.
Looking for the countryside up close? See Filipino Rural Scenes. For calm views chosen for the room where you rest, there is the Bedroom Edit. For the sea, there is Tales of the Tide, and you can browse every oil painting on Obramaestra.
Originals. Each one is the single painting the artist made by hand. We don't sell prints or editions, so once a landscape sells it can't be bought again.
Impasto is paint laid on thickly, often with a palette knife, so the strokes stand up from the canvas. In a landscape it gives leaves, grass and light a texture you can see from the side, and the surface changes as daylight moves across it.
A landscape works well on a wall without a window, where it acts as a view, and above a sofa or a dining table. Every listing gives the size in inches, so you can tape the outline on your wall before deciding.
Yes. Each artwork page has a button to message the artist, and a sold or reserved piece has a button to request a commission. The subject, size, price and timing are agreed with the artist.
