Pag-aararo

A quiet moment of rural labor in Pag-aararo, a realist Philippine landscape painting of a farmer guiding a carabao through a flooded rice field. The farmer, in a wide-brimmed hat and pale blue shirt, walks behind the plow while the water buffalo pulls steadily through the silvery mud. Behind them, a nipa hut sits among tall trees in warm greens, golds, and rust, with blue mountains fading into a soft, hazy sky. The mood is patient and unhurried, a tribute to Filipino agrarian life and the working bond between farmer and carabao. This rice field painting suits a living room, dining area, or study, and will appeal to collectors of Philippine rural scenes, genre painting, and traditional Filipino subject matter. The work is acrylic on canvas, measuring 30 inches by 24 inches, and was completed in 2023. It is signed by the artist and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The painting is offered framed and ready to hang, priced at PHP 35,000.
