Culture Stick Man #5

Culture Stick Man #5 is the fifth figure in my ongoing series. Inspired by Bukidnon traditional attire, one of the 10 pieces incorporates the rich legacy and heritage of Bukidnon through traditional attire, a beautiful way to honor the culture. Bukidnon’s iconic colors, patterns, and gestures capture the spirit of its indigenous groups. Each piece looks powerful, combining intricate designs, symbolic elements, and vibrant colors that reflect the land and traditions. Nested panels of burnt orange, dusty mauve, and bright orange sit behind her, giving the scene a lively, festive warmth. I keep each figure minimal on purpose, so that the shared human experience shows through before any single culture does. As contemporary Philippine art from Mindanao, it speaks to collectors of figurative painting, traditional dress, and bold color-block composition. It brings a strong accent to a living room, dining area, or office wall, and it sits comfortably beside the other works in the series. This work is acrylic on canvas, measuring 8.5 x 8.5 x 2 inches, and was completed in 2026. It is hand signed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. It arrives framed and ready to hang, priced at PHP 10,000.
