Culture Stick Man #9 2025

Culture Stick Man #9 is the ninth figure in my ongoing series. A fan-shaped headdress in red and white rises above her, and her banded top and sleeves repeat the same bold stripes. Her red skirt is trimmed with a border of zigzags and small cross motifs. Nested panels of terracotta, apricot and pale cream sit behind her, and the whole scene feels warm, rhythmic and quietly ceremonial. I keep each figure minimal on purpose, so that the shared human experience comes through before any one culture does. As contemporary Philippine art from Mindanao, it appeals to collectors of figurative painting, traditional dress, and pattern-led composition. The glowing earth tones and deep black mat suit a living room, library, or gallery wall, and the piece adds a strong chapter to a Culture Stick Man collection. This work is acrylic on canvas, measuring 8.5 x 8.5 x 2 inches, and was completed in 2026. It is hand-signed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. It arrives framed and ready to hang, priced at PHP 10,000.
