This painting is inspired by my grandmother’s favorite dish, sinigang na baboy. More than just a Filipino comfort food, sinigang reminds me of the warmth of home, the joy of sharing meals, and the memories we create with the people we love. Through this artwork, I want to capture the beauty of an ordinary Filipino dish and the emotions attached to it. Sometimes, the simplest things hold the most meaningful memories. For me, this painting is a tribute to my grandmother and the little things that make home feel special.

“My work is driven by personal memories, emotions, and my love for Filipino culture. Filipino food often reminds me of my Lola and the memories I share with her. I also use painting to express feelings that I sometimes struggle to put into words. For me, every artwork comes from a different part of my life and the things that matter to me.”
