Dablir Dab (b. 1988, Manila, Philippines) is a contemporary Filipino artist best known for his bold, vibrant paintings that celebrate the dynamic fusion of traditional Filipino motifs and modern artistic trends. Raised in a family of passionate artisans, Dablir discovered his love for art by experimenting with acrylic paints on scrap cardboard at an early age. Determined to refine his skills, he pursued formal training at a prestigious fine arts program in the Philippines, where he developed his distinctive style: a rich tapestry of cultural symbolism, dynamic brushstrokes, and layered textures. At the heart of Dablir’s creative vision is the celebration of Philippine heritage and everyday Filipino life. He is known for embedding iconic details—like the patterns found in local textiles, colorful jeepney designs, and the organic flow of tropical landscapes—into his work.
