In Full Bloom
Flowers do quiet work in a room, bringing color and softness without asking for attention. In this collection, we gather floral paintings by Filipino artists, from loose wildflowers to carefully composed bouquets, each one a reminder that something is always in season.
Original floral paintings by Filipino artists
Flowers are one of the easiest subjects to live with. They bring colour into a room without demanding attention, and they suit almost any space. This collection gathers 10 original floral paintings by Filipino artists, from a bundle of yellow tulips in a glass jar to bougainvillea in full colour.
Carla Bauto Deña of Carmona, Cavite paints in oil, and her Tulipes Jaunes catches sunlight through glass and petals. Victor Kim Naquila of Calape, Bohol paints bougainvillea, one of the most familiar flowers in Filipino gardens. Jerico O. Espada of Tacloban City, Leyte builds textured mixed media pieces in acrylic, finished with a gloss varnish that holds the light.
