I started painting early this year, after burning out. What brought me back was slowing down: camping, walking, noticing small things again. The light through trees. Butter going soft on a plate. A dog who greets every stranger like an old friend. I paint those moments in oil, currently on small canvases, because ordinary things are where most of the beauty in a day actually lives.
